The Secret of the Disappearance of the Artist Lisa – Artists’ Secrets
The artist Lisa, who was known in her childhood for the role of “Hind” in the series “Hind and Dr. Noman” with the late artist Kamal El-Shennawy 40 years ago, revealed the reason for her long absence from the spotlight..
Indicating that this absence was the result of her family’s immigration to the United States of America.
During her appearance on the program “With Mona El-Shazly” on ON Channel, Lisa explained that her family decided to immigrate to America when she was twelve years old, in 1989.
She added that she lived a difficult experience when she moved, as she and her siblings cried intensely because of their departure from Egypt.
Lisa said: “I spent three years in a difficult psychological state, I was never happy.
She added: My siblings and I felt a great longing for Egypt, and for every detail of our lives in it.”
She pointed out that she started studying English, while her siblings chose to study Spanish, which helped her adapt faster than them. However, she stressed that her heart remained attached to Egypt.
She said: “Despite adapting, my feelings were related to my school, my friends, and my life in Egypt.”
Lisa added that she visited the building where she lived before immigrating, and this visit revived childhood memories in her memory.
She also mentioned that her father is of Upper Egyptian origin, while her mother was an Italian living in Egypt and working at the “Bata” shoe company.
In another context, Lisa talked about her strange feeling when she watched her scenes in the series “Hind and Dr. Noman.”
She stressed that she still feels amazed to see herself on the screen.
Especially since she was seven years old when the series was filmed.
She says that she did not realize at the time the extent of the success the work achieved, until she noticed people’s interest in watching it during its rerun, as they would leave their activities to follow the series.
She added: “That was the first time I realized that I had become famous.”
Lisa also explained that she did not receive any acting lessons, but rather acted spontaneously and childishly in her role, as she carried out the director’s instructions as if it were part of her daily life.
