Final Episode Summary
The episode opens with the police arresting Mohamed Ezzat after discovering the body of Bijou, one of Asaad’s men, inside his car. The arrest was orchestrated by Asaad as revenge upon learning about Ezzat’s marriage to Mayar.
Asaad eventually tracks down Mayar at her hideout and blackmails her with compromising footage of her and her husband Ezzat, threatening to release it online. He falsely accuses Ezzat of assisting in recording these videos at a hotel. Fearing for her safety, Mayar chooses to leave with Asaad, abandoning Ezzat’s mother in the process.
However, Shorouq, Asaad’s second ex-wife, comes to Ezzat’s rescue by revealing evidence that proves Asaad was the real murderer. She hands over security footage to the prosecution, exposing Asaad’s crimes. Meanwhile, Uncle Nasr testifies about hearing gunshots at Asaad’s house, and Shenawy alerts the police after detecting the stench of a buried body in Asaad’s storage area. This leads to Asaad’s arrest and ultimately paves the way for Mayar and Ezzat’s happy ending.
Storyline of My Heart and Its Key
The series follows the journey of Mayar, a wife and mother trapped in an abusive marriage. After obtaining her third and final divorce, her ex-husband Asaad tries to win her back. Desperate for a mohalil (a temporary marriage that would allow her to remarry Asaad), Mayar crosses paths with Mohamed Ezzat, a driver working for a ride-hailing service, and ends up marrying him.
As time passes, Mayar develops genuine feelings for Ezzat. However, when Ezzat discovers the real reason behind their marriage, he believes she never truly loved him. Despite the misunderstanding, Mayar finds herself deeply in love with Ezzat and struggles to protect her son from Asaad while fighting for a future with the man she now truly cares for.
