The Fall 2025 collections at London Fashion Week blended nostalgic beauty trends with bold new innovations. From crimped hair and dramatic lashes to elevated braids and colorful brows, the runway was a canvas for both retro inspirations and forward-thinking styles. Chet Lo brought back the glossy crimped textures of the early 2000s, while Harris Reed pushed boundaries with exaggerated eyelashes. Braids made a strong statement at Dilara Fındıkoğlu, Labrum, and Annie’s Ibiza, while Tolu Coker highlighted wispy bangs and Simone Rocha showcased bold, color-popping brows.

Retro Crimps and Curls

While many believed the Y2K era was behind us, its influence is still strongly present in upcoming beauty trends. At Chet Lo, hairstylist Anna Cofone showcased crimped hair, drawing from previous seasons to create patterns and panels that mirrored the textures in Lo’s designs. Rather than crimping all the hair, Cofone focused on sections of the back and sides, giving the look a modern twist. Inspired by Lo’s Chinese-American heritage, Cofone described the style as “origami-inspired,” where the hair appeared delicately folded.

At Richard Quinn, the ’80s-inspired hairstyles proved the timeless appeal of retro looks, while Tolu Coker brought back ’70s-style curls. Efi Davies, the hairstylist for Coker’s presentation, aimed to infuse elegance into the nostalgic curls. “We wanted a style that feels graceful and beautiful, not too overpowering, but still powerful,” she explained.
