Mikel Merino, the Arsenal star, shared his thoughts on his team’s upcoming quarter-final match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

The tournament draw set up a thrilling encounter between the two teams after Real Madrid advanced past Atlético Madrid, while Arsenal secured their spot by defeating PSV Eindhoven.

Arsenal will host Real Madrid in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium on April 8.

Speaking at a press conference for the Spanish national team ahead of their UEFA Nations League quarter-final against the Netherlands, Merino emphasized Arsenal’s readiness for the challenge.

He stated, “At Arsenal, we love to dominate possession and always play on the attack, but Real Madrid also boasts a strong attacking line.”

He added, “Madrid is a special case in the Champions League, which is why they are the best in this competition. However, Arsenal will do everything possible to qualify at their expense.”

The second leg will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu on April 16.
